Impatiens

Impatiens just might be the most popular bedding plant in the United States. Few annuals grow so well in the shade while offering a range of rich colors as plentiful as easy-to-grow impatiens flowers.

The wide range of flower colors includes white, pink,red, orange, salmon, rose, violet, and lavender blue. They are often used for color around the base of a tree where the sun seldom reaches. Impatiens also work well in window boxes, hanging baskets and when used for edging shady beds.
